Lake Garda with Children: theme parks and other things to do

Lake Garda is an ideal destination for a holiday with children or for a field trip outdoors. There are many attractions, a lot of nature, several bike paths, safe beaches, tranquility, hotels equipped to welcome children, and most of all, many parks where you can have fun with the whole family.

When one thinks about what to do on Lake Garda with children, big theme parks like Gardaland, Movieland, or Caneva World, who don’t need big presentations, come to mind.

These parks offer the little ones the possibility of meeting fantastic characters up close, and offer the older ones many thrilling attractions. But there are several less-known attractions for children on Lake Garda. Let’s discover them.

The Rimbalzello Adventure Park

During a holiday with children on Lake Garda one must visit the Rimbalzello Adventure Park, in Barbarano di Salò, only 1km from the town of Salò. It’s one of the main things to do with children on Lake Garda. This fun park has 5 itineraries that allow grown-ups and children to feel the thrill of being 15m above the ground, walking and climbing, among tibetan bridges, steel ropes, tree trunks, and Tarzan-style lianas.

The paths are divided depending on the level of difficulty. The yellow paths are ideal for children who are at least 1m tall (3-4 years of age), and they include a cableway that runs for 12m. Moving on we find the paths for children who are 120cm tall (about 7 years of age), and the more challenging ones that are recommended for the bigger kids, at least 140cm tall (around 10 years of age), that adults can do also.

For children between the ages of 3 and 6 there is an innovative and sensorial path that allows them to experiment, discover, and explore nature. All the necessary material is supplied by the park staff, allowing the entire family to have fun while staying safe.

The Rimbalzello Adventure Park is inside the “Rimbalzello” Park of the same name, which also gives access to a private beach that belongs to the Rimbalzello Village, as well as wide green spaces, tennis courts, mini soccer fields, beach volley, and a pizzeria.

It is thus an ideal place on Lake Garda to celebrate events like birthday parties. There are also summer camps available both for children and teenagers. The entry fee depends on the chosen itinerary.
